Micromart AI Smart Stores
The vending machine that doesn't feel like one. Customers tap a card, open a full-size door, take whatever they want, and walk away — cameras and AI handle the rest. No coils, no buttons, no barcodes. Sold, delivered and serviced by Monclus.
The Micromart Smart Store is a refrigerated, AI-powered unattended retail cabinet. Four cameras identify products by their packaging, so there is nothing to tag, weigh or scan — customers tap a card, take what they want, and get charged once for the whole basket. One configuration, fully equipped, nothing to spec out. Monclus sells, delivers and services them across NY, NJ and CT, and ships nationwide.
How Does a Micromart Actually Work?
There is no screen to navigate and no product code to punch in. The entire transaction is opening a door and closing it again, which is exactly why these tend to outsell a traditional machine sitting in the same spot.
Tap to Unlock
The customer taps a card. It is pre-authorized and the smart lock releases. Without a valid card, the door does not open.
Open the Door
A full-size door swings open onto five shelves. No little flaps, no vend motors, no wondering whether it dropped.
Take Anything
Cameras track what leaves the shelf and what goes back. Grab four things or change your mind twice — it keeps up.
Close and Go
Closing the door ends the sale. Everything taken bills as one charge and a text receipt follows. No app to download.
What Exactly Are You Buying?
One machine, one configuration, one price. No option matrix to work through and no upsell path — the cabinet we sell is the fully-equipped unit with every camera, shelf, tag and screen included.
Micromart Smart Store
A refrigerated, AI-powered cabinet built for unattended retail — beverages, snacks, meals and packaged product in a far more modern format than a traditional vending machine.

Every Cashless Payment Your Customers Use
Card swipe, chip and tap, plus Apple Pay, Google Wallet and American Express. The terminal is sealed into the door frame, and the multi-carrier SIM fails over automatically if the building's Wi-Fi drops — so the machine keeps taking money when the network does not cooperate.
How Does It Know What Someone Took?
Most smart coolers make you tag every item, or they guess from shelf weight and get it wrong. Micromart recognizes product the way a person does — by the shape, color, size and position of the packaging. Nothing to stick on, nothing to re-calibrate, no labels to peel off.
Four High-Speed Cameras
Anti-fog lenses, so a cold cabinet in a humid lobby does not blind the system. 99.5% accuracy on what leaves the shelf.
No RFID, No Weight Sensors
No tags to buy, apply or have torn off. No shelf plates to re-tare every restock.
Put-Backs Are Handled
Customers change their mind constantly. The system knows when an item goes back — even onto a different shelf — and does not charge for it.
Integrated Anti-Theft Lock
A multi-sensor lock built into the door frame rather than bolted on outside. Abusive cards can be blocked from opening any door again.
Sealed Payment Terminal
The POS is sealed into the frame so it cannot be pried off or swapped. PCI-DSS compliant end to end.
30 ePaper Price Tags
Three-color digital shelf tags. Change a price from your phone and the tag on the shelf changes with it.
HD Promo Display
A 1920 × 540 screen across the top of the cabinet for product video, promotions and location branding, updated remotely.
One Charge, One Receipt
Everything taken in one visit bills as a single transaction, with an SMS receipt. No app download required to buy.
Commercial Build
Five food-grade steel racks with per-shelf height adjustment, R290 refrigerant, dual temperature sensors with battery backup. Designed and built in Canada.
How Do You Run It Day to Day?
Every cabinet reports into one platform. You can see what is selling, what is empty and what is down without driving anywhere — and change prices across every store you own in seconds.
Pricing and promotions, pushed live
- Change a price across one cabinet or the whole fleet in seconds
- Display pre-tax or tax-included pricing, your choice per location
- Run a sale and the shelf tag drops while the display plays the promo
- Per-location tax tracking for multi-state routes
Inventory, restocking and reporting
- Visual planograms per cabinet and one product catalog across locations
- Real-time inventory with low-stock alerts, so the van gets loaded right
- Sales, margins and payout reporting per store and fleet-wide
- Revenue Protect pays you on transactions that could not be fully settled
And when something breaks
10-Minute Refrigeration Swap
The refrigeration unit is a module. Swap it in about ten minutes instead of losing a week to a compressor job.
Reboot It Remotely
A built-in relay fully power-cycles the electronics from your phone. Most odd behavior clears without a site visit.
It Tells You First
Automatic downtime alerts and 24/7 monitoring, so you hear it from the platform and not from an angry property manager.
What Can You Sell in One?
Because there are no coils, spirals or drop zones, the shelf holds whatever fits on it. That opens up fresh and chilled categories with better margins and far less competition than another row of chips. Average basket runs about 1.9 items per transaction — people take a drink and a snack together, which a single-vend machine almost never gets.
Where Do These Actually Go?
Here is the part that makes them easy to place: the property pays nothing. No install fee, no monthly fee, no maintenance bill. You own the cabinet, you stock it, you keep the sales — and they get an amenity their residents, guests or staff have been asking for.
Apartments & Condos
The biggest category by far. Lobby placement, open 24/7, competing with a $30 delivery order at midnight.
Hotels
Replaces the sad snack shelf behind the front desk. Real food and essentials at 2am without staffing a market.
Gyms & Fitness
Shakes, bars and cold drinks where people finish a workout. Works in 24-hour gyms with nobody on the floor.
Offices
The break room upgrade HR keeps getting asked about — real lunch options without running a cafeteria.

What Won't It Do?
We would rather tell you now than have you find out after delivery. None of these are dealbreakers in most placements, but they decide whether a specific spot is a good fit.
Indoor only
Outdoor placement voids the warranty, and it needs to stay under 86°F ambient. An un-air-conditioned garage is out.
No cash
Card and mobile pay only. Usually a feature — no bill jams, no coin runs — but it rules out cash-heavy locations.
Small items don't work
The cameras need to see it. Anything under about 4 inches, or small enough to vanish in a closed hand, is unreliable.
It needs real internet
A persistent connection at 10 Mbps. Guest Wi-Fi with a login page or a session timer will not work.
Separate look-alikes
Two nearly identical packages belong on opposite sides of a shelf. It is a planogram detail and we will set it up with you.
English-only terminal
Worth knowing if the location's customers mostly read another language. The consumer app is still in development.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a Micromart Smart Store cost?
Current pricing and availability are on our Micromart product page. Beyond the cabinet itself you should budget for the software platform fee and card processing per transaction, plus one-time items like freight, product pushers, the SIM and setup. Call us and we will walk you through the real all-in number for your situation rather than a sticker price.
How much space and power does it need?
A single unit is 30.5" wide, 36.7" deep and 79.6" tall, around 350 lbs. It needs a dedicated 115V / 60Hz outlet and uses about 4 kWh a day. Clearance is 0" at the sides, 1" at the back and 6" on top, so units sit flush against each other — three cabinets in a row come out around 90" wide.
What stops people from stealing?
The door stays locked until a valid, pre-authorized card unlocks it, so there is no anonymous access. The lock is a multi-sensor unit integrated into the door frame rather than surface-mounted, and the payment terminal is sealed into the frame. Cameras deter tampering, and a card that abuses the store can be blocked from opening any door in the future.
Is this the only Micromart configuration you sell?
Yes. Micromart builds the cabinet in more than one temperature configuration, and the refrigerated Smart Store is the one we stock and sell — it is the version that fits the widest range of locations, and keeping to one model means we know it inside out for service. If a location genuinely needs a different setup, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can source it or whether another machine in our lineup is the better answer.
Who handles delivery, installation and repairs?
We do. Monclus offers white-glove delivery and installation across NY, NJ and CT, and ships machines to all 48 states. Units can arrive pre-assembled with shelves, pushers and price tags already installed to your planogram, so you will want your product list decided before it ships. For service, we are on call seven days a week across the tri-state area.
